Dont worry, this is spoiler free.
So I finally got around to watching The Mist (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0884328/), it is an adaptation of one of my favorite Stephen King stories (novella). I have to say that I think this is probably the BEST Stephen King adaptation done to date and I really really liked it. The creatures in the mist are rarely seen full on, only the smaller ones are seen well....I loved how the really big monstrosities (that would likely drive you mad just by looking at them) were only hinted at in the shrouding cover of the mist. It is definitely a very Lovecraftian story and the movie played on that well.
There was a great scene at the beginning where the protagonist (who paints movie posters and book covers for a living) is finishing up an awesome portrait of Roland Deschain from the Dark Tower.
The ending was great...no sappy Hollywood ending here.
If you haven't seen it, and you dig Stephen King/Lovecraft I think you will really enjoy this flick.
