• The Premier Board Game Tournament – This year's tournament will feature Dominion, Small World, Roll Through the Ages, Say Anything, Fruit Fair and Revolution. There is a $10 fee to enter the event but for this you not only get the chance to win great prizes in the tournament but also receive a FREE GAME courtesy of Rio Grande Games!


• Board game library – Each year the Appalachian Gamers bring games to the convention for use by other attendees. There is also plenty of space for open gaming so bring your favorite game, find some players and get your game on!


• RPGs – There will be a variety RPGs at this year's convention. We have game masters running D&D 4th Edition, RPGA events, SciFi themed games, Superhero events and Metal, Magic and Lore Events featuring the creators, among others.


• LARPs – Returning to CharCon this year will be Zombie Buddy Productions with their RISING LASH event. There will also be a game of Steve Jackson's Killer running during the convention.


• Miniatures – Flames of War, Warhammer 40k, Warhammer Fantasy, Aerodrome, Sailpower and many more events will be available for play at this year's convention.


• Artists - Fantasy artist Larry Elmore and horror artist Billy Tackett (designer of the CharCon program cover two years running) will be special guests at this year's convention.
