Feel free to track me down and I will point you in the right direction for all of these. Of course Saturday night late, the place to be is our after party!
Just ask around for me when you get there.
FYI, I do hear that Lost Legion plans to have supplies on site to support a paint & take.
In the past, we have had painting contests and a “paint and take”. However, interest in those has seemed to waiver, so we have not scheduled either this year. We do have a panel scheduled for discussion on painting miniatures.
We will have plenty of Catan on hand. We actually run a qualified for the US Championships. Winner receives badge & hotel at Gencon! Get your game ready though, our winner last year is now the current US Champ! Can you take him down?
Betrayal should be on hand and we should be able to round up a Fury of Dracula.
I completely understand your concern. GM appreciation and badge costs are things we discuss every single year. We would love to be able to have lower prices and do more. However, the reality of the situation is that the venue that is available to us is VERY expensive. CharCon is part of a non-profit business and if we can’t pay the bills each year (which we often are barely able to do), CharCon will simply cease to exist.
Miniatures has been a focus for us lately and we expect to have an even better offering this year. If there is something in particular that you would like to see, let us know and we will do what we can.
I hope things works out so that you and your friends make it to the show. A Once Upon a Time game sounds like fun and Sci-Fi is always popular.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Our Saturday badge cost is $25. We do not have a GM badge or refund program. We do however reward GM’s with Raffle Tickets for running games.
All games are submitted on the MSTB site. If you need any help with that process let us know.
What sort of Fantasy games did you have in mind?
Hi Josh! Welcome to CharCon.
Open Tabletop space is always available, so that is no problem. You are welcome to bring any games you like. In addition to that we have a pretty solid library of games which we make available to attendees. Our library is much bigger than what we typically bring to the show, so if there are certain games you would like to play, just let us know.
Hi Drew! Chad is correct, last year we did not have any Heroclix. However, that is something we are actively working to correct for 2015. Heroclix, along with several other games, are on our to do list of things we are working to have this year. If you have any suggestions or ideas, feel free to let us know.
BTW, for stuff like this, we are way more active on Facebook these days. Might want to consider poking us there!
