I want to thank the Charcon staff for another great convention. There were a nice variety of events and everyone was helpful and friendly like always. Here's looking forward to the next one.

No worries, you didn't miss anything. I keep looking for a release date as well but no word yet. On the good side, they've announced two products for the line though.
That's true but the beta was. I'm using those rules in addition to having a small set of DH characters.
I decided to give it a go and am going to run Only War, FFG's WH40K roleplaying game of the Imperial Guard this year at Charcon. It was a hard decision not to run Black Crusade but I thought this...
Thanks! This helps a great deal and gives me a better idea where the designers are coming from.
I have several questions about WH40K weaponry for anyone who plays the tabletop and hope you don't mind. I'm playing/running the Only War RPG and am curious how the rpg's view of the weaponry stacks...
I've wanted to try Dust Tactics for a while. If I can't make a tournament, I'll watch to see if you run demos.
How many days do you estimate or want the tournament to run?
I've been playing/running 43 AD, Grunt and the Only War beta while I wait for the print version of the Paranormal SB for Conspiracy X. It'll be hard to decide what to run at Charcon this year.
Did anyone play Only War (Fantasy Flight Games) on Free RPG day or has anyone joined the beta?
Here's the page for details on the game:...
Thanks, that got it.
These look interesting and I'm looking forward to trying them. Thanks for posting these.
Is another URL available or perhaps has the survey ended? I tried to reach the survey and keep ending up at their main page.
I had a great time at Origins this year and it was the first year I got to really play a lot of games. The Indie Press Revolution room was my favorite and I ended up spending a lot of time there....
Thanks for the recommendations. Truth & Justice sounds unusual and interesting. I'll take a look at both.
Can anyone recommend a good superhero RPG?
I've previously tried Champions and have both Silver Age Sentinels and Necessary Evil but am looking for something different. I haven't tried M&M, Bash...
I just found out there's a gamecon in Lexington, KY at the end of May the week before Origins. I know I'm pretty blind to events in Lexington but did anyone else hear about it? Is anyone planning on...
Here are some that I can either recommend or want to try. Most of these have at least a bit of horror in them:
Maschine Zeit - This one is on my shelf but I've never had a chance to play it. It's...
For me, I'm mostly working on my prep for Origins. I'm going with a Marshall Law themed AFMBE game (God help me), a linked Dark Heresy/Deathwatch game and my usuals of Kult and SLA Industries. Also...
Good wrap up! Charcon keeps improving every year and the people are consistently friendly.
I finally picked up Mass Effect 2 and am trying to get ready for ME3. I've been very impressed with Bioware's work and the first two were great in story and production values.
I've also picked up...
As of this week, there's enough on that I'm thankful for the DVR. We're watching or have just finished watching:
Justified
Nikita
Hell on Wheels (Can't wait for it to return)
Walking Dead (ditto)...
I like Dark Heresy a lot. It uses the same (or very similar) mechanics to Warhammer Fantasy 2nd ed. The description of brutal is dead on. I've played in one game of it and loved it. I'm considering...
Holiday games can be a lot of fun. Friend and I used to have a Halloween party where we'd have a group of theme games running. One year I ran Ghostbusters while other ones had Beyond the Supernatural...
I've got a lot of my AFMBE con games still archived if you ever want to run a oneshot to introduce them to it. Most could be expanded into a campaign if a group were interested. Even though they all...
I'm running a game of All Flesh/Dungeons & Zombies, a game of SLA Industries, and considering starting a game of either a/state or Kult.
