Default Lookin for a gaming club

    Hello all,

I have recently moved to the Ashland Ky area, and am looking for a gaming club. I currently play warhammer 40k (Tyranids), but am open to play pretty much anything.

At the moment me and a friend have just started up new armies in 40K, so we are content to play on the table we built in my basement, but at some point we are gunna need to find different players to add more variety to our games.

Just wondering where all the 40k players seem to be concentrated at, and what days they all seem to meet for some games.

Hi! Welcome to the area. There are several shops in area. As Bryan mentioned, Danzig Corridor is in Ashland. I am sure Gary and the guys will be glad to help hook you up with others to play with. Plus, I am sure they host days at the shop when you can play 40K and other games there. Also, I know there is a 40K group in Ashland.

In addition to that, you can travel to Huntington and find Hometown Hobbies. I think they are primarily a CCG shop, but also carry some board games, miniatures and a sampling of other stuff. Huntington also has Hobby Exchange, but I don't know much about their business.

Good luck! See you at CharCon in October!

and if you want to travel just a little bit further into charleston then the hub of 40k gaming in the area is at lost legion games and comics the rifleman. They just finished hosting the Ard boys preliminary round and will be hosting the next round of ard boys there also. Its a great place to play 40k. plenty of tables and gamers available at pretty much any time you make it down. The guys at the shop are super friendly also and if you just give them a call before you come they will find an opponent for you.

Welcome to the area. This site has a lot of info on all kinds of gaming and assorted non-gaming stuff too. DMC Comics in Hurricane is a little closer to you than Charleston. They play some 40K there, I believe.

well, I think Danzig Corridor closed their doors. The phone number comes up as disconnected, and when I drive by it looks abandoned. SO I guess that leaves me with the closest place to get some regular games is in Charleston. Any certain days that are devoted to 40K? Would suck to drive all the way to Charleston then not be able to find a game :P

J, at The Rifleman in Charleston, there is a variety of games being played. Sundays are pretty active days with a melange of boardgaming, WH Fantasy, 40k, and Bloodbowl. It generally depends... ATM there is a lot of Blood Bowl bein played on SUndays.

Craig was talking about running 40k and Flames of War on Tuesdays, but he will have to check in himself on that.

Well Bloodbowl would be cool as well. I picked up the boxed set at Gamesday last weekend, and so far I am having alot of fun with it. To be honest I am up for anything. 40K, fantasy, bloodbowl, warmachine, Malafeux, whatever lol.

    Thanks for the info

I am just beginning to paint, and bought a Lillith game for Malifaux, but havent painted it yet. I started on the gravestones blister pack to base them with... but got caught up in my undead blood bowl team!

If ya wanna join the Blood Bowl Leage at the Rifleman, we would love to have another player!
