I was just thinking about going to Dragon*Con since it is in the state above me and was wondering if anybody here might be going?

What is going on in Huntington? I know Marshall starts this week, so are you going to do a member drive or anything?

At Tech, I have already had someone borrow Puerto Rico and they want to try Power Grid next. Another student is trying to start a Vampire: The Requiem role playing game.

Well we're at a bit of a crossroads with the group right now, as most of our active members have either graduated from college now or are transfering to another school (aka me, I'll be attending State). We still have college members, but they have not kept in touch with us at all during the summer despite this forum and our emails and even IMs, so we have no idea if they are going to participate once school starts again. So our current dilemma is that we don't have any dedicated members who are Marshall Students and can keep up the group's presence on campus.

Now, I'll be attending WV State in Charleston, and I've already run into many fellow gamers there who have heard of ODD in Huntington and are interested in organizing a group on State's campus as well, so I may be helping them organize a group there this semester.

Also, while I have not heard from our Marshall members yet, I may get some contact with at least one of them next week (I'm an optimist). If so I'm going to try and find someone among the group who feels up to the responsibility of handling and running the group on campus.

Meanwhile, I'll probably be helping WVS students start their own group, which I have no idea whether they'd prefer to make up their own name or use our name too.

Many of our active members are scrambling to be ready for the Dracon Con trip this year, so there should be more activity on the matters I mentioned above once Labor Day passes.

So that's the update on what's going on so far.

Sure thing. I've got a long list of classes today at State, but I'll try and hop on some time between them. If not, I'll be online tonight and I don't have classes tomorrow.
