June 7 is the next local Games Day

Kanawha Riflemen are happy to announce another Games Day event to be held at the South Charleston Public Library on 06-07-08. We have reserved the room from 12:00 to 5:00pm. There is no theme for this event. As with any Games Day, we welcome ALL gamers. We welcome board gamers, collectible card gamers, RPGers, and of course miniature gamers. There is no charge for this event, it is free for the public!

The South Charleston Public Library is fairly easy to find. If you are unfamiliar with the area, you can find directions to the SCPL by using http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d. In the "End Address" field, you can cut and paste this text :

South Charleston Public Library, South Charleston, Wv

In the "Start Address" field, enter where you are driving from.

The library is in easy walking distance from several local restaurants. A Gino's Pizza is directly across the street, also local to the area is a Dairy Queen type eatery, as well as Chinese. A 7-11 is also within easy walking distance.

After talking to Buck we are going to do a armored force.....

2000pts. LW

conditions of forces as follow

armored force with at most a platoon of infantry most unit forces can not field more then one platoon attached to an armored company

use any tank force you are happy with

special rules

no off board artillery

Buck and I are going to set up the Gettysburg game and get a look at the complete set-up.

Check ranges for movement and weapons ranges and map the board for set-up at origins.

It will be a complete test to see what elese is needed (hopeful nothing)

Harold wanted to bring some Star Wars mini's

Trav is going to have soem board games there that the group is going to run a origins.
