Default Shot in the Arm for Warhammer Fantasy

I'd like to get more Warhammer Fantasy games in here at the Castle. I've gotten to play several pick up games and each one has been a blast. So i scheduled a 2000 point game for January 21st at noon. I'm looking for some alternatives to the standard way we run these events. It seems doing a swiss style game lasts too long for fantasy so if anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

The new Blood in the Badlands expansion isn't a bad read. There's some pretty decent campaign scenarios in there, even if you were to run a League type setup and use some of the scenarios listed (have all players run the same scenarios each week) you could definitely add some flavor. We're gonna cull a few things from it once we get our Warhammer Fantasy League started up here in January.

The biggest thing to speed up games is to use lower point levels. 2000 is pretty low for fantasy, but if you want to get in multiple games try 1500. Of course, alot of people will not like this, because they can't use really big units, and tooled up characters. But
I'm not sure that's really such a bad thing.

I fully intend on doing a Blood in the Badlands here a few of us are talking of running the whole campaign, which has me super excited. Stealing the scenarios for our tournament sounds good as well.

The low point thing gets discussed a lot around here. Some armies have several requires picks that eat up points and part of the fun for so many is the big monsters! If we do another "swiss" style tournament it will have to be low points
