What about the Nerf Disc lanuchers. The spin should straighten the flight path out. Although wind could play a bigger factor.

As long as you have a mask on it isn't too bad. A hat or other head covering help alot too.

The fill is made from he same stuff they make crayons out of. That should explain the bad taste.
