    Default Odd places to game

TO's comment about playing outside, got me to thinking- what are some of the strangest places you have gamed?

I've played on front porches my whole life- it seems more normal to me than odd. I've played on the front steps of the public library and the state capitol, the back halls of the mall, in cars, on a boat, in a treehouse, and I once played on the roof of a garage. But I have to say, the oddest place I've gamed is inside of a cave.

So, anyone got some strange gaming sites? On an airplane? Under water? (!)
For criteria, gaming in this case involves anything that requires something to play- cards, dice, game pieces, pen and paper. So, even something as simple as craps or checkers on a magnetic travel set counts, Rock, paper, scissors- not so much.

we used to game in an old van that my friends dad converted into a camper. It was EXTREMELY cramped, but would do in a pinch... Not that it was a freaky palce to game, just different. I love to game outside when the weather is cooler, and you dont ahve tons of paper to go flying everywhere!

We received printout messages so we could see them come in if we had a fire mission

A nuke strike would have really put a damper on the game

Is "in my head while sleeping" a suitably odd location?

Nothing like showing how your character will move around the dragon to flank in by drawing it in the sand at Camp Victory in Iraq. Dice don't roll worth a damn in sand though.
I did loose a dice into the engine compartment of a Abrams...I miss that die, one of my favorites.

Default FUNAGAIN wants pitures of games in interesting places

Others are interested in your original question. From a Funagain email:

In case you missed it, Funagain recently sent a batch of games to the South Pole (http://www.funagain.com/redir/28668). We send lots of games to lots of interesting places but the bottom of the world is certainly in the running for "coolest" place we've ever sent something. That got us to thinking, in what other interesting places do people play games? We've decided to find out!

We're announcing the Funagain Interesting Places Photo Contest. The rules are simple:

    1. Take a photograph of yourself or someone you know playing or posing with a game in an "interesting" place.
    2. Upload it to our Facebook page (or send it to us if you're not on Facebook).

Once we've received all entries we'll randomly draw and then announce 4 winners, each of which will win a Funagain Gift Certificate!

To get started now, become a fan of Funagain Games on Facebook:
    http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ashlan...es/60582540585

Then post your photo to our page. If you don't belong to Facebook (and don't want to create a free Facebook account) you can e-mail the photo to photos@funagain.com. We'll post the photo onto our Facebook page for you.
