The board game area was a great success this year.
We had
1. the Settlers of Catan North America Qualifying Tournament - A free tournament sponsored by Mayfair and Lost Legion Games & Comics. Congratulations to everyone that played in it and to Brent that was the big winner.
2. the Premier Tournament - A $10 entry fee that got you a Rio Grande game worth more than $10 before you ever sat down at a table. We gave away a BUNCH of games and it was a blast. The list of winner will be posted later in the week (when we find it).
3. Volunteer Game Masters - we had 5 gamers volunteer to run games that they liked and wanted to play. Great job.
4. the Appalachian Gamer Library - A library of games to check out and play at your leisure. We had about 70 games available and usually had 2 people at the desk to teach. (My apologies to a couple of people that did not find anyone at the table a couple of times. We were close by and not everyone working was in a blue shirt but we should have been closer.)
5. Open Gaming - play what you brought or bought. We will always try to a few table available for open gaming. We want to let you have your own fun.
I really had fun and I think almost everyone else did also. I posted a Geeklist on the BGG with a list of all the board games that I saw. I am sure there were others played so feel free to add any games you wish.
