Thread: Online gaming??? (pc)

    Default Online gaming??? (pc)

Any of the local readers do any online gaming. I know several of the locals play WoW (I am currently active on the Ghostlands server, FOR THE HORDE!) & recently picked up Orange Box. I was playing TF2 pretty regularly & also got a mod for the source engine called Zombie Panic. Would kinda be neat if we could have some locals hook up for some shooters sometime.

    Anyone else out there play?

You know what I play (WoW). I barely have time for that as it is. However, I have been interested in Orange Box for a while. Haven't had the funds to pick it up yet. If I do I'll let ya know.

I'll have a talk with the wife too. Always in the past she's been negative toward FPS games, however with her WoW PVP obsession maybe she'd be more open now. If she's amenable I assume we would need two copies of Orange Box correct?

Yes.... But I probably wouldnt buy two copies of OB. If she wanted to play some TF2, it would probably be cheaper to buy it seperate. You dont need seperate copies of portal, HL2, etc.

I am playing City of Heroes/Villains occasionally. I am Hell Jester on Virtue (Villains). I have several good guys as well but I am mostly trying out the villains side right now.

There are a few of us in the ODD group that play CoH regularly. Randy has a Super Group called "Guardians of the Firmament" on Champion, and even a website to promote it. He also has a supergroup on either Virtue or Victory (can't remember which) that's called "Angel Investigations" and is composed of mostly superhero characters made to look like the different characters from the Buffyverse.

Here's the addy for the GotF: http://www.corvusonline.net/GOTF/index.html

I have a good guy on Virtue named "Doc Armstrong" (a tanker), and also this guy (just made as a joke, never used)

I would definitely be down for some halflife 2 (or the zombie mod) or some counterstrike.

I still am managing to resist the lure of MMORPG's. My will is strong. Although CoH/CoV was and still is a true test, because deep in my heart I am a super hero (that or I like colored spandex and capes).

I am just finishing up the Bioshock single player game. That is one fantastic game. Not sure what I will play next.

I really need to grab counterstrike again. I used to love the original. Logged hours on the dust map. Anybody playing Hellgate:London?

At the urging of the evil Mike Martin, I picked up Hellgate right after it was released. I didnt love it. I thoguth the fighting was visceral, & fun, but the game was just kind of a boring grindfest. The backstory was pretty cool, but once I hit ~ 35 I was just tired of it.
