I was a bit skeptical of this, but theres a video (also SFW) at the bottom of the article that shows them playing and it looks like they are playing for real.

This is kind of funny. I wrote an email CC'd to Wizards and G4/TechTv when DnD 3.5 was released. I suggested that, before the big names of DnD die off or fade away (people like Gary Gygax, Margaret Weiss, Tracy Hickman, Bob Salvatore, Larry Elmore, Ed Greenwood, etc.), they should televise all-star role playing sessions. Now this was around the same time that poker tournaments were really popular on TV and I saw it as essentially the same thing. The announcer could speculate the next players move and clarify which rule was being implemented. I thought it was a great idea. Now it's kind of happening. Without the all-star part.
