Free Comic Book Day

Please tell everyone you know, family, friends, coworkers, acquantances, the guy working the toll booth, classmates, enemies, your parole officer....
Free comic book day is this Saturday, May 1st. Everyone should come by and check out the comic stores after noon on Saturday and get some free comics. Stuff for all ages. Great for getting kids to do more reading. Great for a chance to check out some new comics for older fans. Every now and then a new comic from FCBD ends up being the big hit sleeper story of the year too.
Don't miss it. FCBD!!! At all 3 LLGC locations as well as many other comic book stores nation wide. May 1st, 2010, Saturday, Noon to close!

Here in Charleston we have several gaming events and demos scheduled all day long, too, thanks to the participation of our community. Looks like we will have HeroClix and HeroScape demos, DnD Encounters, Savage Worlds (possibly), and tons of other stuff not comic related. It's shaping up to be a big event.

Asylum Comics on Muskingum Ave in Marietta, Ohio, will be having Free Comic Book Day. This is the first FCBD at its new location. I have it on good word some local celebrities, including my friend and author AJ Menden, will be on hand. Iron Man is expected to make an appearance. Should be a good day.

No matter where you are or what store you go to, try to get out and see what they are doing for FCBD. And buy something while you are there. I've been saving my pennies for some Heroclix
